Acceptable Use Policy
Who this applies to
These community rules apply to everyone who uses Kora and to everything you put on it — your profile, photos, bio, messages, and reports. They are part of our Terms & Conditions. We operate a zero-tolerance approach to the most serious behaviour, set out below. If you break these rules, we may remove your content and remove your account.
Be real, be yourself
- You must be at least 18. Kora is for adults only.
- Use your own name, your own photos, and accurate information. No impersonation, no fake profiles, no pretending to be someone you are not.
- One account per person. Do not create new accounts to evade a removal.
- Your profile is about you. Don’t use it to advertise, recruit, or promote a business or cause.
Zero tolerance
The following are never allowed and will end your access to Kora:
- Anything involving minors. Sexual content involving anyone under 18, or any attempt to use Kora to contact a minor, is reported and removed without exception.
- Harassment, hate & threats. Bullying, stalking, threats of violence, and hate speech or slurs targeting people for who they are.
- Non-consensual & prohibited sexual content. Sharing intimate images without consent, and unsolicited sexual content.
- Sexual exploitation, trafficking & solicitation. Buying or selling sex, escorting, or any form of exploitation.
- Fraud & scams. Deception, financial scams, phishing, and requests for money or financial help.
- Illegal activity. Anything illegal, or content that promotes self-harm, violence, or dangerous behaviour.
Keep it on Kora
Book and pay through Kora. Arranging payment off-platform to avoid our protections is not allowed — it puts you outside the refund and safety measures Kora provides. Don’t spam, mass-message, or solicit other users, and don’t share other people’s private information.
Photos & content
Photos should show you, be appropriate for a general audience, and not contain nudity or explicit content. Only upload content you own or have the right to share. We may remove content that breaks these rules or the law.
Reporting & enforcement
If something isn’t right, you have two tools in the app: report a profile, and unmatch. Reports are sent to our team, are never shown to the person you report, and never reveal who reported them; unmatching removes you from each other’s chats and from each other’s discovery.
Our team reviews reports and takes action where our rules are broken — which can include removing content or removing the account. Account removal anonymises the profile and cancels and refunds the person’s upcoming bookings. We don’t publish a fixed review time, but we treat reports about safety and minors as the highest priority. To report illegal content specifically, see “Reporting illegal content” in our Terms.
Meeting safely
Kora does not run identity or criminal-background checks on users, so please look out for yourself: meet in public, tell a friend where you’re going, arrange your own transport, and trust your instincts. If you ever feel unsafe, leave — and report the person afterwards.
